Believe it or not, I've NEVER been to a pumpkin patch. Last year, I wanted to go so bad but didn't feel like I could because I didn't have a child to bring with me. : ) This year, I was so excited to take Sarah Taylor out to the pumpkin patch and pick out a few pumpkins to take home with us.

One of the reasons that we found it to be so much fun is because of all the great photo opportunities there were. For instance, there were tons of great spots like this that were set up specifically for picture taking. ST was in a great mood and we had a blast! Hence, all the pictures you are about to see (and believe me, this is the scaled down version of pictures)...

My sis took all of the scenic pictures that you'll see, and several more of ST. The name of this place is McGee Farms and it is right outside of Florence in the good ol' countryside. As you can see, it was a BEAUTIFUL farm with chickens and goats to feed, hay to jump around in, hayrides, and of course 2 HUGE pumpkin patches where you could pick your very own pumpkin.

Sarah Taylor had an absolute blast!

Love. Love. Love.
There were so many different kinds of pumpkins to choose from. Green ones, orange ones, warty ones, big ones, small ones.... you get the picture.
Sarah Taylor grinned from ear to ear while her daddy took her on a mad hunt for the perfect pumpkin. I had never been in a pumpkin patch before and it was really neat. It reminded me of a book I read to my kids called Spookly the Square Pumpkin. If you've never read it before, it's a great book about being different and self-esteem. I highly recommend it!
I don't like pictures of me. BLAH. But I do want ST to look back one day and realize that I did actually come out from behind the camera every now and then.
"Daddy! I found it!"
Petting the goats was probably her favorite part. She wasn't scared at all- she just stared and wanted to lean over the fence and get in there with them. Too funny!
Our pumpkin picks
"Peek-a-boo!"
This is me trying my best to stay out of the picture but keeping ST from falling head first at the same time. I didn't do such a good job.
LOVE this picture. Probably my very favorite one... although I have a lot of favorites as you can see! We had such a good time here. I can't wait to go to more back in Birmingham! As long as their are great photo opps, I'm there! ha!
