On the weekend of October 1st (I know, I'm way behind), we took a road trip with the Davis' to Myrtle Beach, SC. The boys went because they wanted a good excuse to go to the Florida/Auburn game. We went because we wanted a mini vacation and a chance to shop!
Anytime you take a road trip with a 10 month old and 18 month old you never know what to expect. Laura and I were a little nervous to say the least, but the trip up there was no problem at all. We were pleasantly surprised!
We stayed at The Marina at Grand Dunes and it was absolutely gorgeous. It was on the bay and we had a great view of the water. We did a lot of shopping with a little bit of rest on the side.
On Friday night we went to this really neat place called "The Boardwalk," where they had all kinds of shops and restaurants. The main attraction was this place called "Preservation Station" (I think... is that right?) where you could pay to have your picture taken with the tigers. It was really neat just being so close to them. ST loved looking at them through the glass.
After looking at the Tigers, we walked across the bridge to the carousel. Trey had a blast showing ST the fish and turtles in the water. I think this was my favorite part of the trip (I absolutely adore watching my two loves together).
And doesn't Blair look too cute in her dress (made by Laura I might add)?!
Daddy/Daughter Time
Daddy Lovin'
Sweet Blair (gotta love those curls)
It's safe to say that ST and Blair sported their Auburn attire the entire time we were there! Nothing like showing a little team spirit!
I couldn't pick out a favorite so I had to post a few. : )

ST wasn't sure what to think about it. No tears were shed though, so we considered it a success!
I thought we had a good thing going when the girls had such a peaceful ride up to Myrtle Beach. The ride back however... not so much. We were all tired and cranky, and by the time we set in ATL traffic for 2 hours with two fussy babies, I think we were all in tears (the girls at least). Lets just say... washing bottles in a Kroger bathroom and playing on a couch in Big Lots is NOT my idea of fun.
Having said that, we still managed to have a great time and I loved the memories we made while we were there. ST had a great time with Blair and I'm so blessed to have such great friends to spend fun times with!
